Aloha Jack & Dorinda,
Unr the strong wind and heavy rain frequently, we stayed at your condo 8 days. We came
here from Wailea, Maui, where we had our own condo, in order to meet our very best
friends Jerry and Seiko from Seattle, who are going to stay in Kauai until March. Last
time we came this island was almost 25 years ago. At that time, we were at Coco Palms, that
became a ghost hotel after getting the attach from the Iniki in 1992. It is indeed a big
shock to us to see.
Well, we thank you for giving us the chance to stay here. We have flet very comfortable.
Tomorrow we return to Wailea and next day to our home town Tokyo.
Hoping to come back here once again in the near future under better weather. We wish
you all the best and Sayonara.

Jack & Dorinda,
First time to Kauai. Of all the web sites to pick from we were so lucky to find (211).
Everything was perfect, right down to the night lihgts. We loved being able to look
at the mountains and the ocean from the lanai and the pool from the living room. Great
location!

Jack & Dorinda,
I think we knew we were in for a great time after looking at your website but our
experience truly exceeded our expectations! :-)
We loved the comfy condo! It is roomy and had every single item we needed. We loved
having the garden pool out front and sunrises, breezes, birds and palm out back. It
was wonderful to hear the ocean as we fell asleep each night. We were all over this
island and we both have fallen deeply in love with it. Our weather this week was
fantastic and perfect for all the hiking and beach hopping we enjoyed. We saw lots
of cool Hawaii birds (not just roosters!), turtles, monk seals and a pup, and ...
whales (from the ridge behind the Hyatt).
Thanks for all the special touches. Its clear that you guys really care about the
guests comfort and enjoyment! We followed up on lots of tips from your Kauai guest
book. We'll be back! :-)

The condo was wonderful and made us feel right at home. Thank you so much for
all the wonderful "extras" you have provided here.
We had such a relaxing and fun vacation and hope to come back again :-)
Everywhere we went on the island was amazing. We especially enjoyed the Beach
House and Scotty's Beachside BBQ for food. Very yummy!
We also agree with everyone that the Smith's Luau is fantastic. Thanks again
for everything!

Aloha Everyone
We were just here for 3 nights and wish it were a life time! "Ditto" to all the
accolades about your condo. We loved it. Mahalo!
After reading the guest comments online before we came, we purchased the
"Ultimate Kauai Guide Book" so had a head start on what we wanted to do and
where we wanted to dine. Andrew Doughty is a 'hoot' and a talented writer.
He is the main author of Kauai Revealed and right to team up with Bill
Bryson, the author of several books including "Walk in the Woods". We give
kudos t Hanalei Dolphin Restaurant - great shrimp sandwich and service. Beach
House restaurant of course! Tomcats was mediocre. Great Keoki Paradise, etc.
Crab cakes at both above mentioned restaurants wonderful.
Mahalo for everything!

Hi everyone,
Alex and I got married last Sunday Oct 6th, 2007 and left for the island
arriving too late to really see anything. We weren't even sure if we were
close to the beach or not when we got here. When we woke up it was really
nice to see that the beach was right across the street :-)
We tried quite a few restaurants that were recommended and drove all around
the island. Our favorite part was the North Side because it is so beautiful
over there We tried the boat tours (but unfortunately I got very sick) and
got massages in Waimea at the Plantation Garden Cottages which was really nice
and normal priced for a massage. We are looking forward to hiking into an
off trail waterfall tomorrow and then back home again and off to Disneyland!
We took a month off work so we could take a few trips. Thanks for the comfortable
place, the small flippers almost fit :-)
We had a nice relaxing time for after wedding de-stress.

Aloha Jack & Dorinda,
We have really enjoyed our stay. Since Liz was just getting
over an illness we did not do as much running around as usual
- however it wasn't necessary since this was a great location
for swimming and snorkeling and so many good restaurants to choose
from. We did not have a bad meal anywhere. Thank you for a
lovely stay at your condo.

Mahalo Jack & Dorinda ...
Kauai is truly an unspoiled tropical paradise.
We celebrated our 20th anniversary last week on the island's
North Shore w/family and friends and then headed south for our
second week.
PK's 211 was a wonderful haven. We swam in the pool daily, enjoyed
sunrises on the lanai and slept comfortably each night. I even read one
of your books and finished on the pool deck!!
The luau at Smiths was fantastic. We would highly recommend it.
The helicopter tour was well worth the $$. Holo Holo Charters tour
of the Napali and sunset was a ton of fun. Waimea Canyon is a must
see.
Sunset in front of the Beach House is awesome on a clear night
but so is the Princeville Hotel lounge (North Shore 45 mins).
Go early 5pm for a seat.
We can hardly wait til our next visit ... We took over 1000
pictures. WOW!!
Aloha til next time

Jack & Dorinda ...
After the initial shock of "No Air-conditioning", we have had
a wonderful stay in your beautiful home. We would like to say
"thank you" for sharing your little piece of paradise with us!
The weather was perfect all week long. I highly recommend the scuba
diving and the helicopter tour with Safari Tours.
We loved having all of the little "extras" that you have provided
for your guests! Wow ... We love your bed ... so comfortable!!!
Many thanks to you and god bless!
Crystal & Jim Erwin
P.S.
To all guests: After talking with some "locals", they
recommended "Smiths Luau" as the best. We have to agree!
A definite "must do". They also talked us "out of" the
sky diving with "Sky Dive Kauai". They are fairly new and not
very experienced. Their office is an old school bus. LOL
"The Ultimate Kauai Guide Book" that Jack & Dorinda have
provided was extremely helpful.
A++ accommodations!
- convenient location
- great BBQ area

We had such a romantic time!! This was our long awaited honeymoon,
4 years, and it was worth the wait! o
Trade winds kept us cool and the weather was surprisingly mild. Had
a blast kayaking up and down Wailua Riveer and enjoyed the hike to Secret
Falls.
We slept most pleasantly EVERY night and felt that this condo
suited our visit perfectly. Your kitchen and hall closet had everything
we needed to eat and have a good time.

Thank you so much Jack & Dorinda for the special added touches your
condo provided to our honeymoon.
We were married at Shipwreck Beach upon the cliff on a beautiful
hot late afternoon. Absolutely awesome!
Favorite Spots. Shipwreck Beach, Waimea Canyon, dinner at
Beach House, Hyatt Regency snorkeling at Ke'e Beach to name a few.
The breeze and sunrises from the bedroom were compelling. This
was Paul's first time to Hawaii. Your condo and this lovely
island were a perfect beginning for experiencing Hawaii. We
highly recommend Kauai Bible Church for worshipping!

Mahalo!
We found the condo to be very well appointed with all the
right things: beach chairs, the cooler, etc. We snorkeled
both at PKs beach across the street and Baby beach just
down the road. We highly recommend Baby beach for snorkeling
and relaxing. The Beach House makes the best Koffir Lime Martini,
in the world! Jo-Jo's for shave ice turned out to be a good choice.
Puka Dogs was good and interesting. We heard our heart valves clamp
shut! Smith's Tropical Paradise for a luau was lots of fun and
very cheasy but that's what made it fun. Ziplining through Princeville
Paudi Adventures was worth every penny! Do it before they develop
this pristine Hawaiian pasture. Dr. Murray at the Koloa Medical
Clinic is very nice and has good bedside manner! Jarred damaged
his eardrums on the flight over so we had to get it taken care of.
They accept health care plans here but not prescription discounts,
fyi!
Our journey on Kauai continues after our stay here,
but we will surely miss this place and it's
beautiful sunrises and comforting breezes.
Jack & Dorinda: thank you for sharing your little slice of
heaven with us!

It's all about LOCATION! :)
We had the best time here because all of the best snorkeling,
sunbathing and everything else we wanted to do was right here!
Sunsets were spent on either the Beach House lawn or beach with a
bottom of wine and it was always perfect!
We are so RELAXED! :)
... and that's all we wanted ...

We love your condo. We were here in June 2004 - we'll be back!
Highlights
- Jumping into lava pool just before Queen's Bath
- Snorkeling out in front (Best on Island)
- Napali Boat Tour
- BBQ right here. AHI!

Aloha Jack & Dorinda, et al.
David and I are here on Kauai and at your condo for the first
time, but I already know - it's not the last! I did a lot of
research planning this trip and ... ding, dign, ding, I'm a
winner once again! I chose "exactly the right condo" in the
right location. We looked at some of our "other choices" today
and were sooo happy that we got to come back here.
OK, now we jumped through hoops trying to find the "green label"
Peaberry coffee. We finally did at the Kauai Coffee Co. in Ele'
Ele' and since we are coffee afficienados this was really fun
(trying out all the different coffees). Well, we found the
"green label" but is it the medium roast or the dark roast?
We bought both! We're off to the rope swing at Kipu today.
The rope swing was a blast* but go early (it gets crowded) and
don't forget the bug spray and USE IT!
We have been busy everyday, boy am I tired :) Kee' beach was
awesome as was Polihale. A beach umbrella would be a good
idea at Polihale as there is no shade. I don't know why this
beach isn't listed #1 on Travel channel's ten best beaches.
Wow! Best beach I have ever been to and believe me, I have been to
MANY! There are "dues" to pay though. A five mile drive on a
dirt road (full of pot holes). It took about 1/2 hour, but really
worth it.
I love how quiet and peaceful this complex is and to tell the
truth, I am going to miss the roosters.
We cooked dinner here every night - no restaurants. Our meals
were superb! One of the best was Korean beef from Sueoka's Market
- BBQ'ed with sticky rice, soy sauce and broccoli. Another
favorite is sauteed shrimp in garlic, white wine and butter over
pasta w/zuchini. Also, we loved the melon popsicles that you can
get all over the island.
If you go to Jo-Jo's for shave ice make sure you go to the "original"
Jo-Jo's. It's around the corner from the one on the main road. Big
difference in price and quality. We actually got to meet Jo-Jo!
We have one more full day - I wonder what we'll do? I feel like I
have pretty much seen all the sights of Kauai. I used to love Hana,
Maui - but this is like Hana on steroids!
We spent our last day at Hanalei Bay ... Hey, that rhymes :)
Dave has wanted to surf the whole trip and that turned out to
be the best place. 1. because they rent boards on the beach
and 2. because it has a sandy bottom when you're falling a lot,
that's important!
Well, Aloha to the islands for now. Jack & Dorinda - Thanks -
Mahalo Nui Loa - for sharing your fabulous, wonderful, beautiful,
peaceful condo with us. You can stop advertising now :)

Aloha!
Once again mahalo for sharing your condo with us. We always enjoy
staying here! We had a wonderful time on Kauai and can't wait to
return. We got to work on our tans, enjoy a great meal at the
Beach House, snorkeled a bunch and spent time geocaching - lots
of great caches on the island (www.geocaching.com). There's
actually a cache at the end of Gillin's Beach. Haven't seen
that part of the island yet - very beautiful beach! Lots of
tide pools with Starfish, sea slugs and much more! Directions
on pg. 110 of the Ultimate Kauai Guide Book - highly recommend
it!
The trip was amazing and we hope to stay in your awesome condo
once again!

Aloha Jack & Dorinda,
Well I've lost track of how many times I've visited Kauai and
stayed at your condo. Very few things in life are consistent
and you can count on, however, Kauai and your condo are one
of them!
Everything was outstanding MAHALO for sharing your wonderful
home once again with me. Its hard to believe how fast 10 days
disappear, must be that Kauai magic. Weather was perfect,
nothing but pure stress and worry free enjoyment
Until next year, ALOHA and Mahalo

Dear Jack & Dorinda,
My girlfriend and I had a fabulous time here on Kauai! It was
exactly what we both needed - relaxation, sun, sand, beautiful
water, etc. Your condo was lovely. The trade winds blowing
through were welcome each day. We did Hola-Hola Cruise (5 1/2
hour) and I would highly recommend it. We ate out lots and
that was a nice treat from cooking everyday! There are so many
great beaches here - best snorkeling right across the road! We
drove up to Princeville and beyond to the "end of the road" -
beautiful! Next time we are going to kayak down the river. We
both look forward to returning to this "still beautiful" island.
We are disappointed at the amount of construction going on here and
fear that soon this beautiful garden island will be another Maui.
It just seems wrong that this is happening. I question if this is
a decision by a few in power to let all this development happen
at the pace it is.
All in all a much needed holiday was thoroughly enjoyed here.
Thank you for sharing your condo with us.

Dear Jack & Dorinda -
What an awesome vacation we had. The condo was perfect. Can't
believe how wonderfully the winds blowing through the condo
kept it perfect temperature-wise. Had an amazing dinner across
the street at the Beach House just by showing up and grabbing a
table in the bar. Poipu Beach delighted us with 2 seals playing
in the shallow part and then crawling up onto the beach to nap.
Holo Holo catamarran sunset cruise was amazing - supper staff
there and awesome food and drinks.
Thank you for the internet help - the wire was better than wireless!
Thanks for a great time!

Jack & Dorinda,
Your condo was perfect for a woman visiting alone. The previous
entries pretty much cover all the recommendations. I visited
Kauai previously in the 70's when I lived on Oahu for five years
and then 2 years ago. My daughter and I did the "tourist" visit
here where we were out and about and driving every day.
This trip was about me having some time alone and not rushing to
places every day. It was the best location . I walk for exercise and
felt safe walking alone here. I would walk to the end of Lawai Rd.
and then back past here to Kukuila Store for the newspaper every a.m.
I could snorkel across the street. Koloa and the Poipu Shopping
Plaza had everything I needed. The farthest I ventured was to
Salt Pond Beach - great for kids and a place you can just get in
and swin w/o having to climb over rocks. I did make the drive to
Waimea Canyon. I am relaxed and refreshed but will be very sad
to leave.

Aloha Jack & Dorinda -
Thank you for a marvelous week in your beautiful condo. It was
our first trip to Kauai and we'll be back. Best experiences?
Snorkeling at Poipu Beach Park and across the street at Lawai
Beach (Beach House) and a day at Waimea Canyon and hiking in
Koke'e State Park. We also loved breakfasting on the lanai
with the chickens.

What a wonderful time we had at your place!! This is our 5th trip
to the islands - our first not staying at a resort and enjoyed it
even more - having the park beside us instead of condos was so private.
Your provision for everything we needed was so helpful!
We'll be back!

Kauai has been a great place to visit and this condo exactly what we
enjoy - the last few days the wind has been a little much but no
real complaints considering we left home -50 with windchill! Kauai and
the Big Island are our favorite islands and we'll revisit both. Oahu
is too busy and just feels too "overused". We spent a week in Waikiki
before Kauai and have no plans to ever revisit there and really hope
Kauai can be protected from ever changing too much. Unfortunately
signs of huge development is all around! We figure 10 years will
still allow for present enjoyment potentials so hope to be back in
09 for a longer stay when retired.
Thank you for all the special touches to this condo - we especially
appreciated the cleanliness. The tile floors are perfect and a good
bed. Thank you. We are sad to be leaving.
